This sculpture was created for The 13th Central & Western District Festival in Hong Kong. The sculpture was installed on the sidewalk, in a glass case with integrated lighting. Swire Properties partnered with the Central and Western District Office and NGO Redress to hold a three-week clothing drive at 20 locations in the district. The goal was to connect people and inspire them to be more sustainable in their day-to-day choices.

This work is context aware and site-responsive. The colors were inspired by the sunsets which can be enjoyed at the harbor and from the upper floors of the tall buildings. To express the vibrancy, excitement and even chaos of Central, I flip-flopped and reshuffled the colors of the sunset, which for me, is how Central feels: colorful, dynamic and full of contrast.”
