Clothing Sculpture: Into the Fold (Friends), 2010 (video)

Share:

This clothing sculpture was commissioned by Friends Seminary, the oldest continuously coeducational school in New York City. They teach Quaker values and organize a “Peace Week” celebration every year.

To kick things off, I worked with parents and students to create this 8 x 8-foot clothing sculpture.

The clothing was donated by the families and after a month, it was sent to Haiti to support the hurricane relief effort.

This was a rewarding and also challenging project as I had to design an armature that would be 100% safe while only anchoring into the ceiling. To view still images, view the works page –>
