I’m looking forward to my first collaboration with I’m looking forward to my first collaboration with older adults. It will take place in an extended care facility in Woodside Queens, NY. When I was growing up, my grandparents lived next door so I was really lucky to see them on the daily and came to really love being around older folks. When my dad and Scott’s dad ended up in nursing homes, we visited a lot and learned firsthand, how important it is to spend time and fully connect, beyond “how are you feeling today, how was your lunch”. We will work together to create rubbings of their clothing, adding blocks of color with acrylic. That’s the plan anyway, we will go with the flow. After spending 15 days togeher, I’ll hang the work in the lobby and we’ll have a reception. A bit out of the way for most of you, but if you can make it, I’d love to see you there.

FIT is so cool. I just finished doing a presentati FIT is so cool. I just finished doing a presentation for my friend HeidiBeuteDesign’s class on Color & Color Forecasting. Such a great bunch of students, very observant and lots of questions. There was a lot to talk about since my work centers color, but also because I address issue around textile production, consumption and waste. I included content from one of the slides I made specifically for the class and images of the iconic sculpture that graces 7th ave and 27th st. “Eye of Fashion” and Dear to my heart! #RobertCronbach

I’m excited to be in a fun pop-up this weekend at I’m excited to be in a fun pop-up this weekend at The DVAA, in Narrosburg, NY. This unique show brings together fine artists and florists for collaborative projects. My grandfather was a flower grower, my mom and brother had an exotic plant business and I worked in flower shops as a young man. So when approached about the project, I was immediately inspired. I’ll be collaborating with the lovely and talented Kathy Lawless. Please stop by, the piece is wild.
