This art video is a poetic expression of what I do as a textile artist. People live their lives, discard clothing, and I follow behind collecting it. From there, my work begins.
It was fun working with the young actor Axel, the son of a friend of a friend. The whole time we were shooting, it felt like the sky was about to open up. Just as I stepped out of the frame to complete the take, it did in fact began to pour. We ran back to my studio, but not before getting soaked to the bone. Axel was a good sport about it. We laughed actually. All in a days work.
Fully out of step with social media, this video is slow and without spectacle. It asks the viewer to wait, reflect, and unwind. I hope you enjoy it.
